| Tasting Note | : | 70 year old vines in Levriere. Nose of swirling ripe purple fruit, but in the mouth more puckered, more restrained. Brighter, redder berries. Some grip, some cranberries some rose-hip. More earth, more grit, more mineral oomph. Delicious though, but the fruit is so compacted for now. So dense so intense - but finishes with a lovely window on the future. Riper, more open and darker fruit once again. Beautiful power here. - L&S (Nov 2017) |
