The NV Lancelot-Pienne Brut Cramant Grand Cru Cuvée Marie Lancelot is the flagship Chardonnay cuvée of Champagne Lancelot-Pienne, a family-owned grower estate based in the Grand Cru village of Cramant in the Côte des Blancs. Named after Marie Lancelot, daughter of the family, this prestige bottling is produced exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in Cramant and is regarded as one of the estate's most distinguished wines.

Cramant is one of Champagne's most celebrated Chardonnay villages, known for producing wines that combine generosity, elegance and pronounced chalky minerality. The cuvée is sourced from a selection of the family's finest parcels across the village, including sites such as Bouron, Buzons, Crayères, Goutte d'Or and Porgeons. The vines average around 50 years of age, contributing concentration and complexity. Fermentation and élevage are conducted in a combination of stainless steel and large oak vessels before extended ageing on lees, enhancing texture while preserving freshness.

The wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, ripe citrus and white peach, layered with notes of brioche, pastry cream, roasted almond and crushed chalk. On the palate, it is both generous and precise, with a fine mousse supporting a concentrated core of citrus and orchard fruit. The hallmark chalk-driven minerality of Cramant emerges through the mid-palate, while the finish is long, saline and remarkably elegant. Low dosage allows the vineyard character to shine through while maintaining balance and finesse.

Among grower Champagnes from the Côte des Blancs, Cuvée Marie Lancelot has developed a reputation as one of the finest expressions of Cramant Chardonnay. Produced in relatively small quantities, it showcases the richness, texture and mineral precision that have made the village one of the benchmarks for Blanc de Blancs Champagne.
