Artus is a distinctive expression of 100% Piedirosso from the Sannio Sant'Agata dei Goti DOC subzone. Unlike most Piedirosso wines, Artus is fermented and matured entirely in handcrafted ceramic amphorae, spending approximately 12 months in amphora followed by 12 months in bottle before release. This approach preserves the purity of the fruit while enhancing texture and allowing the grape's delicate aromatics and mineral character to shine. The resulting wine is medium-bodied, elegant and savoury, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and excellent ageing potential.

The 2018 Artus displays a brilliant ruby-red colour with violet highlights. The bouquet is refined and expressive, revealing aromas of tart plum, raspberry and wild red berries, complemented by delicate notes of geranium, lavender, sage, thyme and a subtle hint of graphite. On the palate, it is fresh and sapid with gentle, finely textured tannins and a graceful, medium-bodied profile. Bright acidity and pronounced mineral character lend precision and energy, while flavours of red fruit, dried herbs and blood orange linger through an exceptionally long, elegant finish. Its finesse and versatility make it an excellent companion to tomato-based pasta, cured meats, grilled fish and Mediterranean cuisine.
