Founded in 1958 by Albino Rocca, Albino Rocca is one of the most respected family estates in the Barbaresco appellation of Piedmont. Based in Barbaresco and now managed by the fourth generation of the Rocca family, the winery farms approximately 19 hectares of sustainably managed vineyards, including renowned crus such as Ovello, Ronchi, Montersino and Currà.

While internationally celebrated for elegant, terroir-driven Barbaresco, the estate applies the same meticulous viticulture and restrained winemaking philosophy to its Dolcetto, producing wines that faithfully express the variety's freshness and purity. Fermentations are carried out with minimal intervention to preserve fruit character and site expression.

Produced from 100% Dolcetto, the 2021 Dolcetto d'Alba DOC is fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly in tank before bottling to retain its vibrant fruit and youthful character. Medium-bodied and unoaked, it showcases Dolcetto's hallmark combination of ripe dark fruit, supple tannins and bright acidity. Intended to be enjoyed in its youth, it is an excellent companion to pasta, pizza, charcuterie, roasted poultry and everyday Italian cuisine.

The 2021 vintage displays a deep ruby-purple colour with an expressive bouquet of black cherry, ripe plum, blackberry and blueberry, complemented by notes of violet, liquorice, wild herbs and a touch of almond. The palate is juicy and generous, offering concentrated dark berry fruit balanced by fresh acidity and soft, polished tannins. Subtle hints of spice and earthy minerality add complexity, while the finish is clean, savoury and pleasantly persistent. The wine combines immediate drinkability with the precision and elegance that characterise Albino Rocca's wines.
