| Tasting Note | : |
Appearance: Deep ruby red with violet shimmers.
Aroma: Complex and intense, featuring dark fruit, cherries, and blackcurrants, with significant notes of graphite, ash, licorice, cassis, and tobacco leaf. Subtle hints of mocha and toast from oak, along with balsamic, mint, and sage.
Palate: Full-bodied with firm, silky, and polished tannins. It displays great depth and, despite being from a cool year, offers rich fruit with excellent acidity and balance.
Finish: Long, persistent, and structured, with a slight, elegant tannic grip.
Character: The 2011 vintage is considered very "serious" and linear, with a strong, pure, and intellectual, rather than opulent, style.
