Champagne Louise Brison is a family-owned grower estate in Noé-les-Mallets, in the heart of the Côte des Bar in southern Champagne. The domaine traces its origins to the early 20th century, when Louise Brison began cultivating a small parcel of vines at a time when grape growing offered little financial reward. Her determination laid the foundations for a family estate that has now been passed down through four generations. Today, the estate is led by Delphine Brulez, an agronomist and oenologist who has continued the family's commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Côte des Bar. The vineyard is farmed organically, with certification achieved from the 2020 vintage onwards, and comprises predominantly Pinot Noir alongside Chardonnay planted on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils similar to those of nearby Chablis. The Champagnes are produced with minimal intervention, extended lees ageing and low or zero dosage, resulting in wines renowned for their purity, structure and exceptional capacity to develop with bottle age. 2001 is a single-vintage, zero-dosage Brut Nature cuvée composed of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. The estate is rooted in four generations of family winemaking in Noé-les-Mallets. The 2001 base wines were fermented spontaneously and aged in used oak barrels for roughly 8 to 9 months without malolactic fermentation. Matured for an extended period on its lees (exceeding five years) to build creamy texture while maintaining a bone-dry profile (Brut Nature with zero dosage).
