Adrien Dhondt is one of the most highly regarded young growers in Champagne and the driving force behind Champagne Dhondt-Grellet, a family estate based in Flavigny in the Côte des Blancs. The domaine was founded when Éric Dhondt and Édith Grellet stopped selling grapes to the négociants in 1986 and began bottling their own wines. Adrien assumed responsibility for the estate at a young age and has since transformed it into one of Champagne's most sought-after grower-producers.

The estate farms predominantly Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, including prestigious sites in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant and Chouilly. Adrien's philosophy centres on meticulous viticulture, low yields, old vines and parcel-by-parcel vinification to express the distinct character of each terroir. Fermentations are carried out using indigenous yeasts, with most wines aged in French oak barrels, followed by extended lees ageing and finished with very low dosage. This approach produces Champagnes renowned for their precision, chalk-driven minerality and remarkable ageing potential.
