| Tasting Note | : |
The 2011 Sperss is characterized by its intense, rich profile that reflects the Serralunga terroir, yet it possesses softer, more approachable tannins than some more austere vintages.
Aroma: A complex, "dark, voluptuous" nose featuring plums, dark berries, cherries, kirsch, tobacco, and hints of lavender, mint, and white truffle.
Palate: Full-bodied and velvety, with layers of ripe fruit, earth, and leather. It is described as having an "iron-cast core of fruit" supported by well-defined, granular tannins.
Structure: While rich, it maintains excellent freshness and a long, savory finish.
Drinkability: While it can be enjoyed now, it has the structure to continue aging until 2033-2044.
