Graci is one of the leading producers on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. Established by Alberto Graci in 2004, the estate is based in Passopisciaro and is dedicated to expressing the unique character of Etna's volcanic terroir. The vineyards are planted on high-altitude lava soils, with many old bush vines (alberello) cultivated organically and harvested by hand. Winemaking is deliberately minimalist, relying on indigenous yeasts, neutral vessels and restrained extraction to preserve site expression. Graci has played a significant role in elevating Etna's reputation, producing wines that combine Burgundian finesse with the unmistakable mineral signature of the volcano. The Etna Rosato is produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese, sourced from high-elevation vineyards on Mount Etna. It is a dry, elegant rosé fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. Unlike many fruit-driven rosés, Graci's interpretation is savoury, mineral and structured, reflecting the volcanic soils and cool mountain climate. The wine offers excellent tension, vibrant acidity and enough texture to accompany seafood, grilled vegetables, cured meats and Mediterranean cuisine. "Tangy and delicious... delicate scents of yellow spring flowers, wild red berries and crushed Mediterranean herbs... savoury, bone-dry palate with a salty finish." -- Wine Enthusiast |
