It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of red berries combined with notes of oak and liquorice. The palate is fruity, sleek and offers a nice freshness, tension, minerality as well as a silky and slightly unctuous matter.
A rather chunky style, with fig, boysenberry and blackberry confiture notes thoroughly embedded with grippy, brambly structure. Roasted apple wood and licorice snap notes fill in on the finish. Relies on power more than guile. Best from 2020 through 2027. 5,000 cases made. — JM |
