Domaine Henri Bonneau is one of the most revered estates in the Southern Rhône and has long been regarded as a benchmark producer of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Established in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the domaine achieved legendary status under the late Henri Bonneau (1938–2016), whose uncompromising approach to viticulture and traditional winemaking earned him cult status among collectors worldwide.

Bonneau rejected modern techniques in favour of extended élevage in old oak foudres, late bottling and minimal intervention. Following Henri's passing, the estate has been managed by his son Marcel Bonneau, who continues the family's philosophy while maintaining the distinctive style that has made the domaine iconic.

Les Rouliers is the estate's Vin de France bottling, produced from vineyards located just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Although it does not carry the prestigious appellation, it is made with the same meticulous attention to detail as the domaine's flagship wines and has become highly sought after for offering a taste of the Bonneau style at a more accessible price. Recent releases are typically based on a single vintage with a small proportion of reserve wine, despite being labelled non-vintage.

Les Rouliers is typically composed of around 80% old-vine Grenache with the balance Cinsault (some merchants also note small proportions of other traditional Rhône varieties depending on the release). Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, followed by prolonged ageing in old oak foudres before bottling.

The wine is generous yet remarkably fresh, offering aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry, wild strawberry and plum layered with garrigue, lavender, rosemary, white pepper, leather and earthy spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with supple tannins, lively acidity and a savoury, mineral finish. It captures the aromatic complexity and rustic elegance that have become hallmarks of the Bonneau style.
