First introduced in 2000, Guidalberto was created to offer a more approachable interpretation of the estate's Bolgheri terroir while maintaining the precision, balance and elegance that have made Tenuta San Guido one of Italy's most respected producers.

Located along the Tuscan coast in Bolgheri, Tenuta San Guido helped redefine Italian fine wine through the success of Sassicaia and the emergence of the Super Tuscan category. Guidalberto is sourced from estate vineyards planted on a combination of gravel, limestone and clay soils, benefiting from cooling maritime influences from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The wine is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Merlot contributing accessibility and richness while Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and freshness.
