Terrevive is an organically certified family estate in Gargallo di Carpi, Emilia-Romagna, founded by Gianfranco Bergianti and now run by siblings Gianluca and Francesca Bergianti. The estate is dedicated to regenerative farming and natural winemaking, cultivating Lambrusco varieties without synthetic chemicals and producing wines with spontaneous fermentations, minimal sulphur and no fining or filtration. The PerFranco cuvée is named in honour of Gianfranco Bergianti and is crafted from an old clone of Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce. Produced using the traditional ancestral method (metodo ancestrale), the wine completes its fermentation in bottle without disgorgement, preserving its lively texture and authentic expression of Emilia's sparkling wine heritage. Made from 100% Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce, PerFranco is a naturally sparkling rosé fermented with indigenous yeasts. Primary fermentation begins in stainless steel before the wine is bottled with residual sugar to complete fermentation naturally in bottle. It is neither filtered nor disgorged, resulting in a lightly cloudy appearance, gentle mousse and distinctive texture. Dry, vibrant and refreshing, it showcases bright acidity, citrus-driven fruit and a pronounced mineral character that sets it apart from more conventional Lambrusco styles. Pale salmon pink with a delicate natural haze and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and aromatic, offering notes of pink grapefruit, wild strawberries and white flowers, alongside subtle hints of fresh yeast. The palate is crisp and energetic, combining citrus zest, red berry fruit and a gentle savoury bitterness with lively acidity. Delicate lees-derived complexity and a saline mineral edge add depth, while the finish is clean, dry and remarkably persistent, making it an exceptionally food-friendly sparkling rosé. |
