Domaine Xavier Monnot is a highly regarded family estate based in Meursault, at the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. The domaine traces its roots back several generations and was formerly known as Domaine René Monnier before Xavier Monnot took over in 2005. Under his leadership, the estate has earned a reputation for producing wines that combine precision, purity and a clear expression of terroir.

Today, the estate farms approximately 17 hectares across prestigious appellations including Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune. Vineyard work focuses on sustainable practices, low yields and hand harvesting, while oak is used judiciously to enhance rather than dominate the wines. The result is a portfolio recognised for elegance, balance and excellent ageing potential.

Les Grandes Coutures is a Bourgogne Chardonnay produced from vineyards situated near Meursault, benefiting from limestone-rich soils that lend freshness and mineral precision.

Vinification: Fermented and matured in French oak barrels, with only a modest proportion of new oak to preserve fruit purity.

Style: Fresh and refined, offering bright citrus and orchard fruit complemented by subtle creaminess, delicate oak spice and a distinctive mineral finish.
