Founded in 2010, Domaine Recrue des Sens is the personal project of Yann Durieux, one of Burgundy's most admired natural winemakers. Before establishing his own estate in the village of Messanges in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Durieux spent a decade as vineyard manager at the legendary Domaine Prieuré Roch, where he developed a deep appreciation for meticulous vineyard work and minimal-intervention winemaking. Farming biodynamically and working with low yields, indigenous yeasts and little to no added sulphur, he produces tiny quantities of highly sought-after wines that express the character of their sites with remarkable purity and energy. His unconventional approach often sees his wines released under the Vin de France designation, prioritising terroir and authenticity over appellation regulations.

The 2021 PTG is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the limestone-rich soils of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. Vinified with semi-carbonic maceration, spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts and matured in seasoned barriques, it showcases Durieux's signature light touch. Bright ruby in colour, it opens with aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, violet and white pepper, underpinned by subtle earthy and mineral nuances. The palate is vibrant and finely textured, with crunchy red berry fruit, silky tannins and lively acidity leading to a long, savoury finish that reflects both the freshness of the vintage and the precision of this distinctive Burgundian Pinot Noir.
