The 2019 is described by Monica Larner at Wine Advocate as feeling “elegant and less hearty” than the 2018, with “pretty freshness that renders a very lively and vivid mouthfeel” and the wine’s characteristic “black cherry, granite and cooling menthol-like endnotes,” confirming a wine of excellent natural balance and mineral precision from a warm but well-structured growing season. James Suckling, in his retrospective vertical of all 26 Redigaffi vintages, identified 2019 alongside 2016 and 2018 as among the three finest Redigaffi vintages in the wine’s history, with all three scoring above 95 points from his publication.
