Pinot Noir ranks as the 10th most planted grape variety in the world, cultivating a massive following of hardcore wine enthusiasts. It is also one of the oldest grown grapes with history dating to the 1st century where its consumption could be found in the regions of Burgundy, France. The name Pinot Noir is derived from the French words meaning ‘pine’ and ‘black’ respectively.
