The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is medium garnet-purple in color. It needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock scents of creme de cassis, ripe, juicy black plums, mulberries, and menthol, leading to hints of roses, kirsch, cumin seed, pencil lead, and violets. The medium-bodied palate is wonderfully elegant and refreshing, dancing with beautifully poised minted blackcurrants and exotic spice notes, framed by super plush tannins, finishing long and perfumed. - Lisa Perrotti Brown Gorgeous blue and black fruits on the nose with some eucalyptus, blackcurrant and blueberry aromas alongside rose petals and soft exotic spices - smells absolutely divine. Sharp and high toned on the palate, this is a bit closed right now, it's on the delicate side. Very refined and gentle, you get the blackcurrant and blackberry elements with a hint of violets carried along the palate by fine and powdery tannins. The wood elements take over a little bit and closes down the fruit expression, stopping the enjoyment a little short at this stage. This feels very well worked however, it has beautiful purity to the red fruits, and a lovely overall elegance. - Decanter |
