Litera emerged unexpectedly during Antica Terra’s blind blending process — a fourth Chardonnay expression revealed at the table in 2022. Its name means “the message,” marking a wine recognized rather than planned. From Willamette Valley, it is focused and structured, with energy, clarity, and layered depth carried by vibrant acidity. The 2022 Antica Terra Litera Chardonnay is characterized by intense, focused aromas of oyster brine, sea spray, and slate, broadening with notes of Linden, orange oil, and Shiro plum. It features tremendous depth, energetic resonance, and a surprisingly grippy finish. This Oregon Eola-Amity Hills wine is noted for its precision and mineral-driven structure. |
