Tasting Note :

Domaine Arnaud Tessier is a Meursault-based producer farming parcels across several Cote d'Or appellations, producing a focused range of white and red wines that reflect a Burgundian approach to parcel selection and minimal-intervention vinification. The Bourgogne Cote d'Or designation, introduced in 2017 as a regional classification above plain Bourgogne for wines sourced entirely within the Cote d'Or, provides a useful commercial tier for estate fruit that does not qualify for village or premier cru classification.

The 2022 Bourgogne Cote d'Or is a red wine from Pinot Noir grown in the estate's holdings within the Cote d'Or, offering Tessier's winemaking approach in its most accessible and early-drinking format. The 2022 vintage across the Cote d'Or was warm and generous, producing wines of ripe fruit and relatively supple tannins that have been consistently well received as an approachable, early-drinking vintage. At the Bourgogne level, 2022 delivered reliable quality across the classification.

For buyers building a cellar or wine list that spans different quality tiers from a consistent producer, regional wines such as Tessier's Bourgogne Cote d'Or provide a cost-effective entry point while maintaining stylistic coherence with the estate's higher-classification bottlings. The wine is suited to immediate consumption and casual occasions where the more structured premier cru offerings would be premature to open.

Drink now through 2027. Pair with charcuterie, roast chicken, soft cheese or mushroom-based preparations. Serve at 15 degrees Celsius.

Clear ruby with a bright, lively rim. Red cherry, raspberry and a light earthy note on the nose with gentle spice and a mineral thread. The palate is light-to-medium bodied with fine, supple tannins, fresh acidity and a clean, pleasant finish. An unpretentious and well-made regional Burgundy for immediate enjoyment.
