Tasting Note | : | Deep, dark ruby-red, is opaque. The nose has a good intensity of deep, dark brooding cassis fruit overlaid by coffe, tobacco & chocolate. The wine is dry with a good weight and a rounded warm texture. The dark fruit is initially quite closed & tobacco, leather & cedar notes predominating. Alcohol is balanced & the structured finish lasts well, the plentiful spicy tannins giving way to powerful ripe fruit at the end. Powerful, robust & ageworthy. |
