Château Corbin is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Émilion, with a history dating back to the 15th century. The estate derives its name from the medieval Seigneurie de Corbin, once believed to have belonged to the Black Prince during the Hundred Years' War. Today, the château is owned and managed by Anabelle Cruse-Bardinet, representing the renowned Cruse wine family. Since taking full ownership in 2007, she has modernised both the vineyards and winery while preserving the estate's classic identity. The 13-hectare vineyard occupies a privileged position on the border of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, where sandy gravel overlays iron-rich clay soils, producing wines noted for their elegance, freshness and refined structure rather than sheer power. Recent years have seen a greater emphasis on sustainable viticulture, plot-by-plot vinification and a more restrained use of new oak to better express the terroir.

The 2015 Château Corbin is a blend of approximately 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before ageing for around 18 months in French oak barrels, approximately 40% new oak.

The 2015 Bordeaux vintage is regarded as one of the finest of the decade, producing wines with exceptional ripeness, concentration and balance. At Château Corbin, the warm growing season yielded a wine with generous fruit while retaining the estate's hallmark elegance. Compared with more opulent Saint-Émilion wines, Corbin emphasises purity, floral aromatics and silky tannins, making it approachable in its youth while possessing the structure to age gracefully for two decades or more.
