Winemaker notes | : |
A harmonious blend of the three classic white Bordeaux varietals grown in the Golden State’s Sonoma County, this unique cuvée was handcrafted using classical winemaking techniques inspired from Pessac-Léognan. As in architectural arts, it is ‘The Golden Ratio’ or ‘La Proportion Dorée. Bright yellow. Intense bouquet of candied lemon, muscat, and honeysuckle flavors intermixed with sweet notes of ripened apricot and fresh quince. Full-bodied, seamless, refined and complex. ______________________________________ Blended of 66% Sémillon, 32% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle, the 2015 La Proportion Doree has a gorgeous honeyed lemon, white peach and grapefruit-scented nose with hints of wax candles, honeysuckle, elderflower and baking bread. Full-bodied, rich, creamy and oh-so-seductive, the palate delivers a wonderful intensity of honeyed citrus flavors with a long, exotic spice and mineral-laced finish. With still loads to reveal, this classically styled white should age beautifully! (LPB) 98+ -- Wine Advocate |
