| Tasting Notes |
Veuve Clicquot is one of Champagne’s most historic houses, renowned for its Pinot Noir-led style and pioneering role in the development of vintage Champagne. Produced only in selected years, the Vintage Brut reflects both the character of the harvest and the house’s signature balance of power and finesse. The 2015 growing season was warm and notably dry, producing healthy, concentrated fruit with generous ripeness. The blend combines Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier sourced from carefully selected vineyards across Champagne. Extended maturation on the lees adds depth and complexity while preserving freshness and precision. Expressive aromas of ripe apple, yellow stone fruit and citrus are complemented by notes of brioche, toasted hazelnut and delicate pastry. The palate is generous and well-defined, with a fine, persistent mousse, vibrant acidity and subtle chalky minerality. Layers of orchard fruit, lemon zest and gentle spice carry through to a long, balanced finish. Veuve Clicquot Vintage Brut occupies an important place in the house’s portfolio, offering a transparent expression of a single harvest while remaining true to its distinctive style. Its combination of pedigree, consistency and ageing potential makes it a respected choice for collectors, restaurants and enthusiasts seeking classic vintage Champagne without the rarity of a prestige cuvée. " 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. The 2015 Vintage Brut follows the earlier releases of 1999, 2004 and 2012. 10% vinified and aged in large oak casks.
