Facing north and with the 640m granite dome providing shelter from the cooler winds off the Southern Ocean, the 30 year old Riesling vines grow in a unique mesoclimate and produce fruit with singular characteristics which this wine highlights and celebrates: supreme fruit purity, focus and finesse, vibrant floral notes, fine acidity and persistence of flavour. It is a riot of glorious intensity when young but has the potential to evolve and transform over decades in a cool cellar. |
