Tommaso Bussola is one of the most respected producers in Valpolicella Classico and is regarded as a modern benchmark for the region. Founded in the late 1970s in Negrar, the estate was originally established by Tommaso Bussola after marrying into the family that owned the small BG winery.

Over the following decades, Bussola transformed the estate through lower vineyard yields, meticulous grape selection and careful oak maturation, creating wines that combine the richness of traditional Valpolicella with remarkable freshness and precision. Today, the winery farms organically (though not always certified) and produces some of the appellation's most acclaimed Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto wines.

Located in the rolling, south-facing hills near Negrar di Valpolicella. Vines sit between 280 and 450 metres above sea level on mineral-rich limestone, basalt, and chalky gravel soils. 

The "BG" Label: Stands for Giuseppe Bussola (Tommaso's uncle). This designation represents the estate's highly expressive, slightly more traditional style, often showcasing incredible freshness alongside complexity.
