| Tasting Notes | : | What fascinating aromas of anise, pistachio and bitter almond this super-ripe and super-elegant dry Mosel riesling has. And behind that is a deep well of mangosteen and yellow grapefruit aromas. The enormous structure gives this a rare degree of drive for the 2020 vintage. The intense minerality and striking bitter almond character interlock at the finish in a way that is so unique in my 40 years of tasting the wines from this region. Still tightly wound, so - exceptionally for the generally charming vintage - it needs some time to give its best. Limited production. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. -- James Suckling |
