Cantina Paltrinieri is a family-owned estate located in Cristo di Sorbara, at the heart of the Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC in Emilia-Romagna. Founded in 1926, the winery has been dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of Lambrusco di Sorbara and is now run by the fourth generation of the Paltrinieri family under Alberto Paltrinieri.

The estate is widely regarded as one of the leading specialists in the appellation, helping redefine Lambrusco's reputation through low-yield viticulture, meticulous vineyard work and a focus on terroir. Their wines are celebrated for their elegance, freshness and authenticity, showcasing the distinctive saline and floral character of Sorbara's alluvial soils.

Radice is produced from 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara grown on sandy, alluvial soils around Sorbara. Unlike many commercial Lambruscos, it is made using the Metodo Ancestrale (traditional ancestral method), where the wine undergoes a second fermentation in bottle without disgorgement. The resulting wine is, leaving a natural yeast sediment ("radice" means "roots"), which contributes texture and complexity.
