Cantine Pellegrino is one of Sicily's oldest and most respected family-owned wineries. Founded in 1880 by Paolo Pellegrino in Marsala, the estate has remained under family ownership for more than 140 years. While it earned its reputation producing traditional Marsala wines, Pellegrino has become a leading ambassador for modern Sicilian wines, cultivating more than 300 hectares of vineyards across western Sicily. The winery focuses on indigenous grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Zibibbo and Catarratto, combining sustainable viticulture with contemporary winemaking to express the island's diverse terroirs. Today, Pellegrino is recognised internationally for producing authentic, approachable wines that showcase Sicily's Mediterranean character.

The Tareni Nero d'Avola is a classic expression of Sicily's flagship red grape. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity, it is made in a fresh, approachable style rather than a heavily oaked one.
