Weingut Markus Huber is one of Austria's leading family estates and a benchmark producer in the Traisental DAC. Based in Reichersdorf, Lower Austria, the winery has been in the Huber family for several generations, with Markus Huber taking over in the early 2000s. Under his leadership, the estate has gained international recognition for producing precise, terroir-driven Grüner Veltliner and Riesling from limestone-rich vineyards.

The estate farms vineyards ranging from 5 to 80 years old, with a strong emphasis on sustainable viticulture and expressing the distinctive soils and cool climate of Traisental. Markus Huber has been named Falstaff's "Winemaker of the Year" and is widely regarded as one of Austria's finest white wine producers.

The Terrassen Grüner Veltliner is the winery's signature regional wine, produced from a selection of hillside ("Terrassen") vineyards throughout Traisental. The vines grow on limestone and conglomerate soils that contribute freshness and minerality.

The grapes undergo approximately six hours of skin contact, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and three months of ageing on the fine lees. The result is a fresh, vibrant and classically Austrian Grüner Veltliner that emphasises purity, spice and mineral precision rather than oak influence.
