Introducing a rising young Domaine that owns 10 hectares out of the 40 that are classified Grand Cru in the Loire Valley and is forging a new path of excellence with the goal of restoring the Loire Valley's prestige.

Domaine Belargus was founded in Anjou by wine expert Jo Pithon, who transformed the monopole Les Treilles from scrub bush to terraced vineyards. But it was Ivan Massonnat who breathed new life into the estate after purchasing it in 2018. Ivan has since assembled an all-star team that includes Adrien Moreau (formerly of Cheval Blanc, Haut-Brion, and Roederer) and Guy Bossard (Lead Biodynamic consultant), a pioneer of biodynamic farming in the Loire who has produced some of the region's finest wines. Jo Pithon, a former estate owner, is still a valuable consultant.

The team's combination of expertise and experience bodes well for Domaine Belargus.
