Tenuta dell'Ornellaia is one of Italy's most celebrated wine estates, located in the prestigious Bolgheri appellation on the Tuscan coast. Founded in 1981, the estate helped establish Bolgheri as one of the world's leading regions for Bordeaux-inspired blends.

Alongside its flagship Ornellaia and Masseto wines, Le Volte dell'Ornellaia was created to express the estate's philosophy in a more approachable style. Produced from a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, Le Volte combines the richness of international varieties with the freshness and vibrancy of Tuscany, offering excellent value while maintaining the precision and elegance associated with the Ornellaia name.

A medium- to full-bodied Toscana IGT red blend made predominantly from Merlot with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermented in small stainless-steel tanks before ageing for around 10 months in a combination of used oak barrels and concrete vats, the wine emphasises bright fruit, supple texture and early drinkability while retaining the balance and refinement typical of Bolgheri. 

"A blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Ornellaia 2020 Le Volte dell'Ornellaia shows medium darkness and texture followed by a very primary and fruit-forward bouquet. There is a generous display of cherry, cassis and wild plum. On second nose, this easy and straightforward Tuscan blend reveals hints of spice, cardamom and polished river stone.
