Founded in 2000 by Riccardo Tiberio, Azienda Agricola Tiberio is one of Abruzzo's benchmark estates, located in Cugnoli, in the province of Pescara. The estate is renowned for championing indigenous Abruzzese grape varieties, particularly Montepulciano, Trebbiano Abruzzese and Pecorino. Farming is sustainable, with meticulous vineyard work and minimal intervention in the cellar to express the character of the limestone- and clay-rich hillside vineyards. Tiberio has earned an international reputation for producing some of Italy's finest expressions of both white and rosé wines, with its Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo regarded as a reference point for the appellation. Made from 100% Montepulciano, this is a traditionally styled Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo—a deeply coloured rosé that bridges the gap between rosé and light red wine. After only a brief period of skin contact, the wine retains remarkable freshness while offering greater structure, concentration and ageing potential than most rosés. It is fermented and matured in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit and vibrant acidity. |
