Livio Felluga is one of Friuli-Venezia Giulia's most prestigious wine estates and a pioneer of quality winemaking in northeastern Italy. Founded by Livio Felluga after the Second World War, the estate played a leading role in restoring the region's hillside vineyards and establishing Friuli as one of Italy's foremost fine wine regions. Today, the family continues this legacy by combining sustainable vineyard practices with meticulous winemaking to produce wines that reflect both the local terroir and an elegant, modern style. Vertigo was created as an approachable yet sophisticated red blend, showcasing international grape varieties adapted to the cool climate of Friuli and the neighbouring Delle Venezie appellation.

Vertigo is a medium- to full-bodied red blend, primarily composed of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (with some vintages also including small proportions of Cabernet Franc and Refosco). The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented with skin maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured in stainless steel and French oak barriques, resulting in a polished, fruit-driven style with supple tannins, balanced acidity and subtle oak complexity.

Deep violet-ruby in colour with excellent concentration. The nose opens with aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, fig and wild berries, complemented by notes of allspice, nutmeg, tobacco leaf and hints of balsamic herbs. On the palate, generous black and red fruit flavours are joined by pomegranate, red plum and subtle hazelnut nuances. Fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity provide structure and balance, while touches of cocoa, sweet spice and candied orange peel lead to a long, smooth and fragrant finish.
