La Tordera is a family-owned winery located in Valdobbiadene, the historic heart of Prosecco Superiore DOCG in Veneto. The Vettoretti family has cultivated vineyards in the area for more than a century, although the winery was officially established in 2001. Today, it is managed by siblings Paolo, Renato and Mirella Vettoretti, who focus on sustainable viticulture and low-impact winemaking across the steep hillside vineyards of Valdobbiadene. The estate is recognised for producing terroir-driven Prosecco Superiore that emphasises freshness, elegance and vineyard expression rather than simple fruitiness. The Brunei Brut takes its name from an historic parcel identified on an old Austro-Hungarian map. Produced from hillside vineyards within the DOCG zone, it is intended as a pure expression of Valdobbiadene's cool-climate freshness and mineral character. La Tordera Brunei Brut is consistently praised for its purity, aromatic precision and freshness. Rather than an overtly fruity or sweet style, it delivers fine bubbles, crisp orchard fruit, floral aromatics and citrus-driven acidity, underpinned by the mineral character typical of the Valdobbiadene hills. It is widely regarded as an elegant, food-friendly Prosecco Superiore that offers excellent value and a clear expression of its hillside origin. |
