Champagne Jérôme Blin is a small, family-owned grower estate based in Vincelles in the Vallée de la Marne. Jérôme Blin represents the fifth generation of the family to farm these vineyards, taking over the estate in 2010 after gaining experience in Burgundy and Champagne. The domaine farms around 6 hectares of organically certified vineyards, with a strong emphasis on Pinot Meunier, the signature grape of the Marne Valley. The estate follows a philosophy of sustainable viticulture, spontaneous fermentations where appropriate, low dosage and extended lees ageing to express individual vineyard sites. Rather than pursuing a rich, oxidative style, Jérôme Blin produces precise, terroir-driven Champagnes with freshness, purity and strong mineral definition. La Pluchotte is one of the estate's flagship rosé cuvées, crafted to highlight the elegance and fruit character of Pinot Meunier while retaining the tension expected of an Extra Brut Champagne. La Pluchotte is an Extra Brut Rosé composed of approximately 60% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay and 20% still red Pinot Meunier wine, sourced from organically farmed vineyards around Vincelles. The wine undergoes traditional bottle fermentation and extended ageing on its lees before disgorgement, with a low dosage that preserves freshness and precision. The wine displays a delicate salmon-pink colour with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry and lychee are complemented by subtle floral notes and hints of brioche. The palate is generous yet vibrant, offering flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and red berries balanced by crisp acidity, chalky minerality and a long, dry finish.
